Amazing Results

Congratulations to the Golden Gate Task Force for its amazing results in its Community Cleanup March 6, 2010

Neighborhood Enhancement Initiative

The Golden Gate Task Force conducted a community cleanup which concentrated on the northeast quadrant of Golden Gate City.

Over 1000 flyers were distributed to this area in attempts to assist residents in cleaning up trash and debris in their neighborhood. Dumpsters were located at the 4400 block of Golden Gate Parkway (4) and 41st St & 18th Ave SW (1) for trash drop-offs. Residents could also conveniently place debris at roadside for pickup.

The event was extremely popular and three additional dumpsters were ordered to keep up with the demands of the residents!

After the completion of the day the following dumpsters were filled which is not including all the hazmat debris, tires, paint, batteries, etc:

1- 3.92 tons

2- 1.75 tons

3- 3.80 tons

4- 3.30 tons

5- 2.57 tons

6- 2.75 tons

7- 2.34 tons

20.43 TONS -TOTAL = 40,860 LBS !!!

This was the largest cleanup in the history of Golden Gate City!

Special Thanks to Jeff Letourneau, Renald Paul, Ralph Bosa, Joe Mucha, Carmelo Gomez, Jeremy Florin, John Daly, Maryanne King, Aixa Capizzi, Colleen Newkirk.
