What We Do

Your Golden Gate Area Civic Association plays a major role in community issues:

Led the effort to expand the Golden Gate Library by 17,000 square feet

Created coalition between CC Commission and CC School Board to build bridge connecting GG High with the Golden Gate Community

Led the fight to reduce odors and modernize Collier County Landfill

Creation of the Golden Gate Task Force to bring various service agencies together for the betterment of the Golden Gate City and surrounding area.

Formation  of a Volunteer Code Enforcement Patrol to identify code violations and report to authorities.

Golden Gate Beautification Committee with improvements to Collier Blvd, Golden Gate Parkway, and Tropicana Blvd.

I-75 Golden Gate Parkway Interchange Beautification Committee - appoint 2 representatives.

Opening of alleyways along Santa Barbara, Collier Blvd, and Golden Gate Parkway.

Sponsors Christmas events. 

Established a shopping cart pickup program in conjuction with the Collier County Sheriffs Department.

Recognizes area homeowners whose efforts are visual representation of the ideals of our community.

Led the fight to keep our School Safety zones.

Co-Sponsors the Golden Gate Festival.

Hosts "Lemonade Stands" to fight the sale of drugs in our neighborhoods.
